LOCATION:  From Hwy 151 & Hwy 16 Interchange, on Columbus Hwy 151 Bypass (Exit 118) go west on Hwy 16, 3 miles, to Cty Rd CD (just 1/2 mile west of Fall River) north on Cty CD, 1/2 mile, to Sauer Road, east on Sauer Rd, 1/2 mile, to Premium Rd.  Watch for auction signs.

Official Production tested herd.

  • 38-Milk cows, 20 are in their 1st or 2nd lactation.  Several due for April & May calving

  • 29-Bred heifers, bred various stages, some could be fresh by sale day

  • 28-Open heifers, yearling to breeding age

  • 19-Heifers, 6 to 10 months old

  • 11-Heifers, under 6 months old

  •             The Rolling Herd Average on the cows is:  19,767m 3.79% 749f 2.93% 580p.  These records are made with NO TMR and basic feed.  The Somatic Cell Count is presently 210,000.

            There are cows that have produced over 28,000 lbs in 365d. and many from 20,000 to 25,000.

            There are very nice heifers, from this herd, also selling.  All sires and dams production records will be available on sale day.

            These cattle are all home raised.  Monthly herd health, with Mayville Veterinary Service, is presently used and calfhood vaccinating has always been followed. The cattle have their 9-Way, Lepto and necessary vaccinating.

            Artificial breeding has been used for years with only a couple years where a herd bull was used.  ABS Sires are presently used with the following Sires being represented:  Diehard, Jammer, Burt, Boliver, Aftershock, Asteroid, Hamel, Homestead, Garrison, Jet Stream & Newton.  One herd bull was from the Mell Wood Farm, whose dam as a 2 yr old, made 36,450 lbs in 365d.

            These cattle are not pushed.  Here is an opportunity to add some real fine cattle to your herd.  Plan now to attend this auction.
